Our mission:

Safe sleep in the simplest form.

We increase health and well-being of infants and children across socio-economic lines through Portable Alternative Cribs (P.A.C.s).

What is S.I.D.S?

S.I.D.S or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is when you have a seemingly healthy baby that dies in their sleep. In the United States S.I.D.S is the leading cause of  death among babies 1 month to 1 years old, affecting over 3500 babies each year.

What we do

The Portable alternative crib (P.A.C)

We distribute P.A.C.s - a certified, simple baby box with padding at the bottom that serves as a safe sleeping space for an infant. For each P.A.C purchased, one is given to a family in need.

programs

We provide families with information on best practices for safe sleep and infant and child care. We also provide "train the trainer workshops" for organizations with safe sleep & child care initiatives.

events

We host family oriented events every year that focus on touching young bodies, young minds and young lives that promote safe sleep, physical fitness & equip families with essential resources.

December 2017

We believe that a (baby) box may be a good option in cases where the mother opts for a box given her housing situation, or when there are no other options and a safe sleep space must be provided on the spot.

Our Impact

We want to make sure that no infant dies because of an unsafe sleeping space. Parents and caregivers need essential tools to ensure that we reduce death due to S.I.D.S. We recognize that each touch point with an infant is an opportunity to save a life. That's why we educate everyone from the youngest member of the family to the eldest about best practices for infant and child care. We also collect data to generate evidence around the use of the P.A.C as a safe sleeping space.

1200+

babies sleeping in p.a.c.s

Since April 2017, 1200+ babies in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Charles County and Cecil County are sleeping in P.A.C.S.

All of them are alive and thriving.

20+

partner organizations & schools

We've partnered with various community-based organizations, schools and healthcare facilities to offer education, training and distribute P.A.C.S to families in need.

$110K

dollars raised

In one short year since implementation of our programs, we have raised over $110,000 that has gone towards the distribution of P.A.C.S and evaluating their impact as safe sleeping spaces.
